Happy Valentine's Day!
If you've recently upgraded Photogram, you probably noticed a new tab in the tray called History. On this tab, you'll find all of the Photograms that you've ever sent, organized in order from most recent to oldest.

So now you have everything that you've recorded and shared using Photogram in the palm of your hand. Additionally, you can see who you sent a particular Photogram to. Pretty neat, eh?
So check out History in Photogram ver. 1.3 and let us know what you think.
As always, thanks for using Photogram!
Our Theme Elves have been busy, busy, busy, and they've just produced three new Themes that will be especially useful for those of you enjoying the holidays on a golf course: "Happy Hanukkah", "Three Wise Men" and "Hole in One". You can find them in the Photogram Theme Store. The first two are free, and Hole in One costs $0.99.
Enjoy the holidays and good luck on the fairways and greens!

Winter sports are in vogue here in Chicago, and we have two new themes to help you record and share them: "Slapshot" for Hockey and "Bump, Set, Spike" for Volleyball. These are currently free for a limited time- so if you like them, be sure to put them into your library and they will be yours forever.
Nice work by artist Becky Rother producing these!

(You can see all of the Photogram Themes in our Theme Gallery).
By the way, speaking of Winter, is anybody up for a Curling theme?

2. More Referrals. When your customers receive a Photogram from you, they can easily share it with their family and friends by posting it to their Facebook or Twitter page and forwarding it with email. It's digital "word-of-mouth" marketing - Photogram Pro enables your customers become your marketers, and their endorsement includes your brand and contact information.
One of the first users of Photogram Pro is Eyes On Sheppard, an optometrist and eyewear retailer in Toronto, Canada. Dr. Kerry Salsberg is using Photogram Pro to capture when a client is prescribed and chooses a new set of glasses.

Here's what he says about Photogram Pro:
In my business, prescribing a child's first pair of glasses is a big event. Photogram Pro lets us capture and share this moment with the child’s parents quickly and easily. They love receiving these, and Eyes On Sheppard becomes remembered as part of this special moment... When they share the Photogram with their friends and family, we get presented in a wonderful light.
Photogram Pro is available for $14.99 per month. There are no contracts and you can cancel at any time. Also, if you sign up for Photogram Pro before January 1, 2012 and use referral code PGPRO1 at checkout, you can get Photogram Pro for $9.99, a 33% savings. You can register for and create your Photogram Pro here.
Photogram Pro can be used in countless different ways...
How will you use Photogram Pro to promote your business? What's your customer's special moment that you can highlight? Send me an email at bob@photogram.me and we'll promote you on our site and our next email blast to our users.
We hope that you enjoy Photogram Pro!
We are thrilled to announce three new Fall themes in Photogram from two new, supremely talented artists. These themes really capture the colors and essence of Fall, and we hope that you enjoy them.
"Fall Birch" by Darren Jones

"Riverside" by Nicholas Bohac

"Vermont" by Nicholas Bohac

Nicholas Bohac
Nicholas Bohac is a San Francisco-based artist whose end goal with his work is to "create something that seems both familiar while at the same time appearing surreal." Both "Riverside" and "Vermont" clearly demonstrate that. You can find out more about Nicholas and his fantastic work at nicholasbohac.com.
Darren Jones
Darren Jones is a Chicago-based artist whose signature works involve nature in general, and birch trees in particular. Many of his works incorporate delicate papers, wood fibers and sand mixed with acrylic paints to create a greater depth to his work. You can find out more about Darren and his beautiful work at darrencjones.com. (Incidentally, Darren's studio is just down the street from our offices here in the lovely Ravenswood neighborhood).

We have a great group of artists with whom we've partnered to create the Themes you find in Photogram. One of our most popular artists is This Paper Ship, the Greensboro (NC) based husband and wife duo of Joel and Ashley Shelby. They are the creative geniuses behind the Photogram themes:

"Just Married"

"Man's Best Friend"

"Girls' Night Out"
... as well as Best Friends Forever (BFF of course!), Happy Anniversary, Purrrfectly Peachy (for cat lovers) and Honey Tot (a great theme for sharing infant pictures). Incidentally, not only do they make stylish themes for us, they also do logo designs, wedding invitations, web site design, and more for a ton of satisfied clients. Be sure to check out all their work here.
We wanted to get to know them a little better, so we interviewed them and here's what we learned.
1. How did you get started in the business?
We completed our BFA degrees in graphic design together a few years ago, having been led there from our lifelong passion for drawing.
We’ve both always known we want to spend our lives being creative, and the design, illustration, and photography industries allow us to best combine work and play.
2. What was the inspiration to set up your own shop? Was there a “defining moment”?
It all started during college when we posted photos of our own wedding invitations on a “custom invitation” listing on Etsy and had our first client within a month. We always knew that we wanted to work for ourselves eventually, but we found ourselves doing it much earlier than anticipated when the economy tanked in 2008 and design jobs were nonexistent upon graduation! The other major defining moment for us was earlier this year when, after having slowly built up our studio from scratch over the course of two years, we went full-time and never looked back.
3. How do you manage the intricacies of your business and personal relationships?
On reflection, we notice that we tend to be the same people in business as in our personal lives. That is, we’re generally easygoing, imaginative, genuine people with a goofy sense of humor and a tendency to expect as much out of life as we can get.
4. You do a lot of work for brides and weddings. Do you have any “Bridezilla” moments to share?
Ha! The funny thing, contrary to what conventional wisdom might suggest, is that our brides are almost always our most laid back clients and our only “zilla” moments tend to come from regular clients! That said, though, we feel like we’ve had a disproportionately low amount of bad run-ins with the amount of client work we’ve had, and we like to think that our cheery portfolio attracts people who are fun to work with!
5. What would you say is the one word that clients would use to describe you?
Whimsical! Which, for us, emphasizes the balance between childlike wonder and adult sophistication.
6. What do you like to do when you are not creating awesome designs and artwork?
We both love to read the Harry Potter series, watch Disney and Pixar movies, cook and bake from scratch daily, travel to see family as far west as California and east as Scotland, tend to our chickens and garden, and play with our cats. Additionally, Joel writes poems, stories, and is trying his hand at screenplays, and Ashley is building her individual style as a painter.
